2026年2月の現地訪問では、アダムがローカル・ステュワードとして新たに関わってくださっているアキ子さんと初めてお会いしました。すでに落ち着いた存在感でこの場所を支えてくださっており、エイミーとともにこれからの歩みをとても心強く感じております。

Dear Supporters,

During a visit to the site in February 2026, Adam met Akiko-san for the first time. She has recently stepped into the role of local steward and is already bringing a grounded and thoughtful presence to the space, and together with Amy, we feel deeply encouraged by the path that is beginning to take shape.

ご報告が少し遅くなりますが、2025年12月に大規模な施工フェーズの完了にあわせて、設計・監理を担ってくださった多田正治先生によって公開された動画をご紹介させていただきます。

本動画は、2022年10月から2025年12月まで本プロジェクトの設計・監理を担ってくださった多田先生の歩みを振り返るものでもあり、改めてそのご尽力に深く感謝しております。

We would like to share a video released in December 2025 by Professor Masaharu Tada on the occasion of the completion of the major construction phase.

This video also serves as a reflection on Tada-sensei’s work from October 2022 through December 2025. We are deeply grateful for the foundation he helped establish.

先日（2026年2月21日）、和歌山県新宮市にて施工を支えてくださった野中工務店のあっきーと再会し、これからのフェーズについてじっくりと話し合いました。

これまで積み重ねてきた時間と、新しく芽吹きはじめた力が、いま静かに重なり合いはじめています。

On February 21, 2026, Adam traveled to Shingu in Wakayama Prefecture to reconnect with Aki from Nonaka Komuten, who supported the construction, and spent time discussing the next phase of the project.

What has been built over time and what is now beginning to emerge are quietly starting to meet.

現在、リターンとしてお約束している熊野ヒノキのネームプレートについても、設計が具体的に形になりつつあります。

多田正治アトリエの阿部先生との検討を重ね、「成長する木」をモチーフに、本プロジェクトにご支援いただいた皆さまを幹や枝として、今後の広がりを葉として表現するデザインで進めております。

一方で、自由な形状での加工方法や施工方法の検討に想定以上の時間を要しており、完成までにもう少しお時間を頂戴できれば幸いです。完成時期につきましては、改めて次回のアップデートでご案内させていただきます。

The Kumano cypress nameplates we promised as part of the supporter returns are now taking clearer shape.

In collaboration with Abe-sensei of td-Atelier, we are developing a “growing tree” design, where supporters of this project are represented as the trunk and branches, and future growth is expressed through leaves.

At the same time, due to the complexity of fabrication and construction for these organically shaped pieces, the process is taking longer than initially expected. We kindly ask for a bit more time to complete this work, and will share an updated timeline in a future Motion Gallery update.

 

また、フードフォレストの記念樹の植樹については、2026年4月18日（土）午後に実施を予定しております。

ご都合の合う方は、ぜひ現地にお越しいただき、一緒にこの場所に木を植えていただければ幸いです。現在、植樹に向けて準備を進めております。

We are also planning the commemorative tree planting for the food forest on: Saturday, April 18, 2026 (afternoon)

For those who wish to join, we would be honored to plant these trees together on-site. Preparations are currently underway.

本プロジェクトは、完成という一点にとどまらず、これからも時間をかけて育っていく場であると感じています。

皆さまからのご支援によって生まれたこの場所が、これからどのように育っていくのか、その過程も引き続きご報告してまいります。
