9月27日（土）、熊野古道でのツアーを終えたアダムは、熊野市に戻り、ソトノノノの改修作業に参加しました。土曜の夕方には草刈りを行い、翌日も続けました。

日曜の午前には、野中工務店の山ちゃんが参加してくださり、午後には近畿大学の佐野ラボの学生3名と武庫川女子大学の多田ラボの学生2名が、現地で多田先生の指導を受けながら作業に加わりました。野中工務店の3人の大工さんと一緒に力を合わせて作業を進め、大きな前進ができました。

現在もプロジェクトは進行中で、Tシャツ・トートバッグ・ステッカーセットの郵送は完了しましたが、リターンの熊野ヒノキのネームプレートの設置やフードフォレストの記念樹の植樹を行う前に、全体を完成させることを目指しています。リターンの準備については今年度末までお時間をいただければ幸いです。進捗については随時ご報告いたします。

また、月曜の午後にはアーティスト・イン・レジデンスのアルドが到着し、火曜には早速草刈り作業に精を出してくれました。



今後は便槽にコンクリートを打設する準備も進めつつ、冷蔵庫が搬入され次第ソトノノノで生活を始め、映画や写真でこの歩みを記録していく予定です。

Dear Supporters,

On Saturday, September 27th, after many days guiding on the Kumano Kodo, Adam returned to Kumano City to help with the renovation of Sotononono. That evening he began with weeding, and continued the next morning.

On Sunday morning, Yamachan from Nonaka Komuten Construction joined the effort. In the afternoon, three students from Sano Lab at Kindai University and two students from Tada Lab at Mukogawa Women's University, all working under the on-site guidance of Professor Tada, joined us. Together with three dedicated daiku carpenters from Nonaka Komuten, we pushed the project forward with great energy!

The project is still ongoing. While the T-shirts, tote bags, and sticker sets have already been shipped, our goal is to complete the site before installing the Kumano cypress nameplates and planting the commemorative trees in the food forest. We kindly ask for your patience through the end of this fiscal year as we prepare these returns, and we will continue to provide updates on our progress.

On Monday afternoon, Aldo, our artist-in-residence, arrived. By Tuesday, he was already hard at work weeding, and is now preparing for concrete to be poured over the waste tank. Aldo looks forward to living at Sotononono once the refrigerator is in place, and to documenting this journey through film and photos.
