これまで日本では、私は３０代より個展、グループ展の他、公共、商業空間に彫刻や
半立体作品のインスタレーション的な仕事をして来ました。
その後、ロスアンゼルスに毎年行き、個展やグループ展等をしてきました。
そして、私が若い頃にアンディー・ウォーホールが立体が面白いのでその方向で制作した方が良いとアドバイスしてくれて、最後にきつく言った
『いつか、君は世界的なアーティストになるよ！ただ我慢強く続けないとだめだけどね！』
を実現するステップだと思います。

1. ロンドン、オンライン・エキシビションART NOW
グローバル・アニュアルにおいて、プライズ・オブ・エクセレンス受賞。
“Famous 100 Contemporary Artist”に掲載される。
2. 同オンライン・エキシビションのREAL TIMEにおいてもHonorable Awardを受賞。
3.ロンドン、World for Magazine では、”The Best in Art & Creativity”に選ばれ、ベイサイド・プレス博多埠頭の彫刻が、Book Coverになる。
4.その他、海外のweb site”International Sculpture Center,”“A.I.E.S.M. International Association for Monumentalsculpture Events”等、いくつかのweb siteに紹介される。
5. ニューヨークのマンハッタンをベースにしている、”NEW YORK ART MAGAZINE”には、9月、10月号、11月、12月号と2度に渡り作品、Artist紹介をされた。

1.ニュー・ヨークのギャラリー・レストラン、ラファイエットにて、個展を開催。
2.宮崎県都城市の依頼で、自治体建造物の前に野外彫刻を制作。

2002- 2003 ニュー・ヨークのマーマラ・マンハッタン・ギャラリーにて、個展を開催。いくつかの雑誌に紹介される。

2001 全日空、福岡空港の依頼で、ラウンジに小、中サイズのpaintingsを6点制作。

2001- 1998年までの間、レストランのArt works=painting & レリーフを13店舗制作。（札幌、千葉、東京、大津、大阪、高槻等）＝依頼の仕事

1999 ロサンゼルスにオフィスあり、海外（日本も含む）の建築設計をしているRTKL Associate Inc. のロビーにて個展を開催。

1997 カリフォルニアのロス・ワトキンス・ギャラリーにて個展を開催。

1996
1.カリフォルニアのラグナ・ビーチで毎年開催される有名なLaguna Beach festival of Artの入場者入り口、エントランスの所に半立体の作品を期間中展示する＝依頼の仕事
2.静岡県函南町保険福祉センターからの依頼で彫刻を制作。

1995
1.カリフォルニア、ラグナ・ビーチのFACT CONTEMPORARY ART SPACEにて個展を開催。
2.東京、杉並区にあるメディア専門学校の依頼でエントランスに野外彫刻を制作。

1994 筑波市のギャラリー・CKで個展を開催。

1993 日本橋高島屋のContemporary Art Spaceにて個展を開催。

1991 福岡市、ベイサイド・博多埠頭の依頼で野外彫刻を制作。

1987- 1987 西武百貨店、元SEED館の依頼で、エントランスの吹き抜けのArt Worksを1年間担当。4-5mの作品を3作品制作。ディスプレイ・デザイン・アソシエイツDDA賞。優秀賞と奨励賞を受賞。

1987
1.東京、Studio 恵比寿にて、高さ約6m、広さ70坪のspaceを全て立体作品で埋め尽くすという大きな個展を開催。それまで、その様な個人の展覧会は開催された事がなかったので、反響をよび雑誌やTVに多く紹介された
2. 西武百貨店にて個展を開催

1985
1.東京、有楽町西武百貨店の依頼でウィンドウのArtを制作。
2.東京、NEWS ギャラリーにて個展を開催
3.東京、六本木AXIS ギャラリーにてグループ展に 出品。
4. 1985年から2004年まで、西武百貨店のArt Works(平面、立体)を多数制作（仙台、東京、川崎、静岡、高槻、等）＝依頼の仕事

ナレーションにもあった通りNew Yorkに移住して、改めて自分の生まれた日本のアイデンティティーを深く感じました。そして、個人的な事ですが介護や病気といった『死』の世界の近くに８年もいた事でより『心とエナジー』について考えました。

以前は、『時代を駆け抜ける』『時代を切り抜く』を普遍性なテーマと一緒にメッセージとして出して来ました。が、時が経ちインターネットや科学の進化等素晴らしい事も多くありますが、情報の早さやその弊害も含めて,（災害、テロ等）人の気持ちも少しギスギスして来たと感じる事も多いです。

今回のMiami River Are Fairには、『Heart of gold』(思いやる心、純粋な心を）を込めて世界に発信します。

Living in America brought me into close contact with people from a variety of different ethnic groups and cultures. It made me realize how unconscious I was of my Japanese heritage. I never felt it so much while in Japan, but in New York I definitely felt Japanese. This changed my perception of my country. On the one hand it made some parts of Japanese culture look fresh and new to me, while on the other it made some parts seem strange.

The Japanese government helped me to select the name “Yurikong-Art” when I had my company incorporated. Over the years I’d formed the concept of a fusion of Japanese culture and modern art. Yurikong-Art―the brand name of my artist goods―introduces this concept to the general public. I often got requests for smaller works of art from people who showed interest in my work. I realized that only making large works hindered me from sharing my work with more art enthusiasts, so I decided to start making smaller works. I had the idea that if people wore clothes with my art printed on them then they would become walking three-dimensional works of art. This would be a new and interesting way to express my concept.

I try to use my art as a way to express what I’m feeling at the time I create each piece. The world has gone through unprecedented changes since I began making three-dimensional artwork in my thirties. While I am amazed by the technological progress.

I also feel its effect on humanity has not always been positive. It’s made it possible for people to be alone with their devices and become cold to one another. It’s for this reason that I decided on “Heart of Gold” for the title of my exhibition in Miami. For me a heart of gold means having a pure heart―a compassionate heart that makes one wish to care for his or her fellow earthly travelers.

２、プロジェクト概要　Project summary

Art Fairへのオファーがこれまでもいくつもありました。が、単にアーティスト集めだったり、そのキューレーターとどれだけ信頼関係が築けるのか？等不透明な事が多くコストもかかるので参加しませんでした。今回、Miami River Art FairのキューレーターのDr. Barbara Aust-Wegemund(バーバラ博士）が私の作品に対し強く思い入れ、又信頼関係を築けたのでとても良いチャンスだと感じ参加を決めました。次のステップに行く大きなチャンスです。

Miami River Art Fairとは、最も成功した全米で１−２を競うMiami Art Baselの週に開催されます。

Art Baselの会場のすぐ近くのコンベンション・センターで開催されるのが、Miami River Art Fairです。５年前よりMiami, New York, London,Germanyその他、各国からのアーティストの作品を展示。Miami Art Basel week （開催期間の週）には、７万人を超える人達が、Art Fairを見にきます。

その上、各国のアート・ディラー、ギャラリーオーナー、キューレーター、アート・コレクターが沢山来ます。会う人は何人かは決まっていますが、その他に色々な人に巡り会えるかと思います。又、私のキューレーターは元より、このFairの開催者であるMs.Nina Torresは、各地でArt Fairを開催したり、オークションにも出しています。

Still, even making a small work of art that I was satisfied with took a lot of time and effort. To give an example, I love hats, but It’s difficult to make a lot of them because of the large number of colors and I can only make one original at a time. Thus in order to satisfy the demands of people interested in my artwork I needed to find a way to increase production. When I start making smaller pieces such as hats it gave me new ideas for making my larger works as well. I used to combine Japanese patterns with patterns from other cultures around the world and my original painting. Next I would upload images of the work, add more vivid colors, and make other changes digitally. I found that doing this would bring the work to life.

I like to use music as an example for how I interweave colors and patterns in my art. Integrating these is a lot like how melody and rhythm is expressed in music. Think of your favorite songs. You have some, don’t you? Now imagine the colors that go with different songs. I think it’s interesting to do this. I like monochrome because it’s nice and simple, but I think the vivid colors are much more full of life.

After feeling inspired to start creating new artworks again I received an offer from a highly acclaimed art exhibition in the USA―The Miami River Art Fair. At first I was a bit skeptical since I’d received many offers to display my art in the past. A lot of these shows are not very reputable and yet very expensive, so I did not accept the invitations. However, I came to find that the Miami River Art Fair is of high standing in the USA. Through close correspondence Iformed a good relationship with the curator based on trust and a love of art. The fair is held in early December, which is good timing and a good chance to exhibit my new works with a new perspective.

3, プロジェクトの結果と次のステップ,

ART FAIRで作品展示する事で、多くの、ギャラリーオーナー、キューレーター、ディーラー、メデイアの人達に会う事が出来ます。直に作品を見て、私が表現したい、メッセージを伝えたい　人達と今後、一緒に仕事＝アーティストとしての次のステップへの仕事が出来る様になります。

又、アーティストグッズも宣伝するので、グッズの制作範囲が広がります。グッズのコラボレーション出来る制作会社等も見つけるつもりです。

今は、余裕がなくて出来ませんが、今後日本、世界で震災、テロ等に遭われた子供を始め多くの人達にグッズを届けられる様になるのが目標です。

I hold exhibition it in ART FAIR, and I can meet much owner gallery, curator, a dealer, people of Medea. アメリカより戻ったら、次の作品制作を始め、今度は日本で展示が出来る様に頑張ります。又、グッズを通して、『Heart of gold』(思いやる心、純粋な心を）広めて、楽しんで行けるイベントが出来たら良いと考えています。

このプロジェクトはその第1歩です。

Including the next work production, I try so hard that I can exhibit it this time in Japan if I come back from the United States.

In addition, through goods, I spread "Heart of gold" and think that the event that I can enjoy should be possible.

５、想定されるリスクとチャレンジ

皆さんにリターンが出来るのは、アメリカから戻ってからです　間に合う様に努力しますが、安全の為、１月１０日を期限にしました。　

報告はメールで必ずしますが、少しお時間を下さい。
このプロジェクトのリスクは日時も決定していますし中止、変更もありません。
