パリのギャラリーに展示された絵画的刺繍が誕生するまでの
プロローグ作品集を世に送りたい!!

刺繍歴40年の主婦が大型作品を誕生させ、アート界に挑戦中!!パリでの展示に続き、作品集を制作します。小さなブローチから絵画的な大きな作品までを掲載したアート作品集で、刺繍の魅力をより多くの人にお届けするプロジェクト。

About this project

A housewife with 40 years of embroidery experience has created a large-scale work and is challenging the art world!! Following the exhibition in Paris, I will create a collection of my works. A project to bring the charm of embroidery to more people with a collection of art works ranging from small brooches to large painterly works.

これが私の刺繍アート ～Yuriko Nonomura's embroidery art～

初めまして。Yuriko Nonomuraです。

2023年、424㎜×545㎜の半切りサイズすべてに刺繍した大型作品に初挑戦し、株式会社 麗人社に応募した結果「サロン・ド・アール・ジャポネ2023」に入選し、9月27日から10月2日まで、フランスのパリにあります、リンダ・ファレル・ギャラリーに展示されました。それがこの作品です。

美しい街をさらに美しくしようと咲いているチューリップが主役の作品 

また、2作目も今年の3月20日から25日まで、同ギャラリーで展示されました。

そしてこの度、私の2作品をパリに導いて下さいました、株式会社　麗人社により制作されます

「日本美術コレクション」シリーズ

で、私‟yuriko nonomura”の作品集を制作して頂くことになりました。

アラン・バザール氏はフランス芸術家協会（ル・サロン）絵画部門代表で、「サロン・ド・アール・ジャポネ」の総合監修をされています。

昨年出展した際は、私の作品に『とても絵画的な刺繍である』とコメントを下さいました。

また株式会社　麗人社からは、以下のお言葉を頂きました。

絵具では表現できない色彩と絵肌は、見る人を暖かく柔らかな気持ちにさせてくれる。

この作品集は、2つの大型作品をお手元で堪能して頂けるとともに、絵画的な刺繍が誕生するまでに生み出したオリジナル作品8点も掲載し、私の作品がどんどん大きなものになっていくのをお楽しみ頂けます。

Nice to meet you. I'm Yuriko Nonomura.

In 2023, I tried for the first time to create a larger piece of embroidery on 424 mm x 545 mm, and as a result of applying to Reijinsha Co., Ltd., I was selected for "Salon de l'art Japonais 2023", and It was exhibited at the Linda Farrell Gallery in Paris, France from September 27th to October 2nd.（photo①） The second work also was exhibited at the same gallery from March 20th to 25th of this year. （photo②）  This time, a collection of my works will be produced by Reijinsha Co., Ltd.

“Japanese Art Collection” series Selected by Alain Bazard

Mr.Bazard is the representative of the painting department of the French Artists Association (Le Salon) and the general supervisor of "Salon de l'art Japonais.'' When I exhibited my work last year, he commented on my work, "The embroidery is very painterly.''

yuriko nonomura's works are both simple and innovative .The colors and texture that cannot be expressed with paint give the viewer a warm and soft feeling. We are grateful to have met an artist who taught us that embroidery can be art.

This collection of works allows you to enjoy two large-scale works at hand, as well as 8 original works created before the birth of painterly embroidery, and shows how my works are becoming larger and larger. I hope you can enjoy it.

私の刺繍歴  ～my embroidery history～

幼い頃より、母や祖母の影響で刺繍に親しんで来ました。短大の授業でも学び、結婚、出産後も家事や育児の合間に時間を作って針を持ち、刺繍を楽しみました。2014年にインストラクターの資格を取得後、翌年からカルチャースクールの刺繍講師となり、現在も指導しています。

オリジナル作品の制作は、講師になる直前から挑戦し始ました。

初めての作品は、当時私の子供が幼稚園に通っていたこともあり、子供の持ち物に付けるワンポイント刺繍でした。

その後、私の教室に多くの方に興味を持って貰えたらと、初心者の方が1回の講習で完成できる小さな花の刺繍を制作しました。

2022年2月24日、ロシアによるウクライナ侵攻が開始しました。その日は私の誕生日だったので、家族に祝って貰い、幸せなひとときを過ごしたわずか数時間後に、ウクライナでは平和が奪われたことを知り大変心を痛めました。そこで、「平和」「希望」の花言葉を持つデイジーの花の色をウクライナの国旗カラーで刺繍しウクライナの平和を願う、強いメッセージを込めた作品を制作しました。

このように、作品がだんだん大きくなるにつれて全面に刺繍をするようになり、花を主役にして強いメッセージを添える、‟yuriko nonomura”の作風が出来上がって行きました。

I have been familiar with embroidery since I was young due to the influence of my mother and grandmother. I studied in junior college classes, and even after getting married and having children, I found time in between housework and childcare to pick up a needle and enjoy embroidery. After obtaining instructor qualification in 2014, I became an embroidery instructor at Culture School the following year and am still teaching there. 

I started trying to create original works just before I became a instructor. My first work was a one-point embroidery to attach to children's belongings, as my child was attending kindergarten at the time.（photo③）

After that, I created little flowers embroidery that beginners can complete in one class, hoping to get more people interested in my class.（photo➃）

On February 24, 2022, Russia began its invasion of Ukraine. It was my birthday that day, and just a few hours after I had a happy time celebrating with my family, I was deeply saddened to learn that peace had been taken away from Ukraine. Therefore, I created a piece with a strong message of wishing for peace in Ukraine by embroidering the colors of the daisy flower, which has the flower language of "peace" and "hope", in the colors of the Ukrainian flag.（photo⑤）

In this way, the work gradually grew in size and was fully embroidered, completing "yuriko nonomura" style with a strong message centered around flowers.

ワンポイント刺繍から「碇」をストラップに!!

実はこの「碇」が、記念すべき初めてのオリジナル作品です。

それまで手芸本などに掲載されている図案を見て色やステッチを決められた通りに刺繍してきましたが、初めて自分で図案を描き色やステッチ、生地などを考えて刺繍しました。

お届けが7月になります。夏のアイテムとしていかがでしょうか。

そして、以前から友人やお世話になった方に、刺繍したものを贈り物をしたいと思うときに制作しているレアな刺繍小物の、爪切りとリール付きのカードホルダーです。

爪切りのバラはリボンで刺繍し、ちりめん生地の巾着袋も私の手作りです。

リール付きのカードホルダーはクロスステッチという✕だけの刺繍を細かく縫いました。

どちらも1点ものです。

因みにこれらの裏はこんな感じです。

この爪切りは刺繍を指で押さえなくても爪を切ることが出来ます。

リール付きのカードホルダーはポケットなどに掛けることが出来るフックが付いています。

For those of you who support my project, I will prepare return products that will allow you to enjoy my painterly embroidery. First of all, please read this!!

• There are 10 works by yuriko nonomura, one work per two pages (including the image above).
• Hardcover/all color/A4 size (297mm x 210mm)/24 pages of text/written in both Japanese and English *Each book in this collection is put in a translucent case.
• 3300 yen (tax included) per book
• Scheduled to be published at the end of March 2024

I also offer postcard-sized cards so that you can enjoy my works more easily.（photo⑥）

Furthermore, yuriko nonomura's style has been made more compact! The flower embroidery has been condensed and framed in a photo L size.（photo⑦）Each item is carefully created with full embroidery of a "camellia" that blooms powerfully in the snow and a "sunflower" that blooms in full sunlight. You can hang it on the wall or place it on your desk as a decoration. 

There are others too!

 "Anchor" has been adapted from "one point embroidery" to a strap! （photo⑧）In fact, this ”Anchor'' is a memorable first original work. Up until then, I had looked at designs in handicraft books and embroidered according to those colors and stitches, but this was the first time I had drawn a design myself and thought about the colors, stitches, fabrics, etc. Delivery will be in July. How about this as a summer item?

Also, when I want to give something embroidered as a gift to a friend or someone who took care of me, I make rare embroidery accessories such as nail clippers and  card holder with reels. The rose in the nail clippers is embroidered with ribbon, and the Japanese Chirimen-fabric(Crape) drawstring case also handmade by me. Card holder with reel is made with finely sewn embroidery called cross stitch.（photo➈）

These are only one exclusive made of each.

By the way, the back of these look like this. This nail clipper allows you to cut your nails without pressing the embroidery with your fingers. The card holder with reel comes with a hook that can be hung in your pocket.（photo⑩）

想定されるリスクとチャレンジ ～risks and challenges～

ここで大切なお知らせである資金の用途をお伝えします。

• 株式会社　麗人社への製作費 450.000円のうち150.000円は既に支払い済みなので残り300.000円
• クラウドファンディング手数料 35.000円
• リターン商品の材料費等15.000 円

計350.000円です。

このプロジェクトはプロダクションファンディング（All in）での挑戦になるため、もし目標金額未達となった場合でも、不足する資金は自費で補填し、作品集の出版を実現します。

リターン商品も必ずお届けしますので、ご安心ください。

リターン商品である、私の個人作品集は受注生産であることと、写真L版サイズの刺繍はひとつずつ手作りのため、ご用意出来るまでに時間が掛かることを想定し、募集期間を3か月と長期に設定しました。

リターン商品は募集期間終了後、なるべく早く発送するよう努めますが、遅れる場合はご連絡させていただきます。

Here I would like to tell you an important announcement about how the funds will be used.

• Out of the production cost of 450,000 yen to Reijinsha Co., Ltd., 150,000 yen has already been paid, so the remaining 300,000 yen
• Crowdfunding fee which I must pay 35,000 yen
• Material cost for returned products, etc. 15,000 yen

The total is 350.000 yen.

This project is a challenge with production funds (all included). Therefore, even if I do not reach the target amount, I will cover the shortfall with my own funds and publish the collection.

Please rest assured that I will definitely deliver the return product.

The return product, a collection of my works, is made to order, and the L size embroidery in the photo is handmade one by one, so it will take time to prepare, the recruitment period is set at 3 months. I will endeavor to ship return items as soon as possible after the recruitment period ends, but I will contact you if there is a delay.

私は長年刺繍を、友人や生徒さんなど、たくさんの方々と楽しんでやってきました。でもいつも心のどこかで、刺繍に興味を持ってくれるのが手芸やハンドメイド好きの女性ばかりなことに、淋しい気持ちがありました。刺繍作品を見てくれるだけでもいいから、男性やお子さんにも興味を持って貰いたい、でもどんな作品にすれば良いのだろう、と悩んでいた時、東京の世田谷美術館で開催された『塔本シスコ展　シスコ・パラダイス　かかずにはいられない！人生絵日記』で塔本シスコさんの絵を観ました。

シスコさんの絵は一つ一つが大きく、色鮮やかで力強く、誰もが惹きつけられる力を持っていて、私は圧倒されながらも大変感動しました。そして、私の刺繍にもインパクトと力強さを持たせよう、そうしたら今まで刺繍に興味がなかった人達にも見て貰えるかもしれないと思い、挑戦したのがあの、チューリップの作品です。その後、株式会社　麗人社に選んで頂き、とんとん拍子で「サロン・ド・アール・ジャポネ」の展示が決まり、2作品連続でパリのギャラリーに展示され、この度の作品集を制作をして頂けることとなりました。

ここまで順調に事が運びましたが、作品集の制作のお話を頂いた時は、正直なところ少し不安でした。なぜなら、現時点で私の絵画的な刺繍作品は2点しかないからです。でも麗人社の方にそのことを相談したら、「過去に制作した作品も、ぜひ載せてください」、と言ってくださいました。アート界に挑戦中ですので、大型作品ばかりに目が行きがちでしたが、 過去の作品も久しぶりに集めてみると、自分でも信じられない程、どの作品も愛おしく感じました。この小さい作品たちも、時には悩みながら全力で制作してきたのです。ですので、この作品集に掲載される作品も、新たに作ります、「椿」と「ひまわり」も、私が全力で生み出したかわいい子供であり、すべて自信作です。お好みのもので、ぜひ‟yuriko nonomura”の刺繍をお楽しみください。

I have enjoyed embroidery for many years with many people, including friends and students. But somewhere in my heart, I always felt sad that the only people who were interested in embroidery were women who loved handicrafts and handmade products. I wanted to get men and children interested in my embroidery work, but I was wondering what kind of works I should make. At that time, I saw the "Tomoto Shisuko Exhibition: Shisuko Paradise '' held at the Setagaya Art Museum in Tokyo.

Each of Shisuko's paintings was large, colorful, and powerful, and had the power to attract anyone, and I was both overwhelmed and deeply moved. I thought if I would give my embroidery more impact and strength, even people who had no interest in embroidery would be able to see it, so I took on the challenge of creating my tulip's work. After that, I was selected by Reijinsha Co., Ltd., and it was decided to be exhibited at "Salon de l'art Japonais", and my works were exhibited at a gallery in Paris for the second time in a row, and this time, I got to create a collection of my works.

Things have gone smoothly so far, but to be honest, I was a little worried when I was recommended to create a collection of my works. This is because at the moment I only have two painterly embroidery pieces. However, when I discussed this with them, they told me, "Please include works that you have created in the past.'' Since I'm currently venturing into the art world, I tend to focus on large-scale works, but when I gathered up my past works for the first time in a while, I found each piece so adorable that I couldn't believe it myself. I have worked hard to create these small works, even though I sometimes have trouble with them. Therefore, the works included in this collection, as well as the new works I plan to create, "Camellia'' and "Sunflower,'' which are cute children that I created all my strength, and are all works that I am proud of. Please enjoy embroidering "yuriko nonomura" with whatever you like.
