台風19号と現在の新型コロナウィルス（COVID-19）が重なり多くの宿泊施設が逆境に立たされています。自体の収束後に宿泊する「未来に向けた約束」を作り合って支え合うプロジェクトです。↓English is below
Typhoon No.19 (Oct 2019、Hagibis) and the current COVID-19 pandemic have devastated Nagano’s tourism. The mission of this project is to assist Chikuma City hotels and inns in their struggle to survive by pre-selling stay packages, and to enable more good memories for travelers to Chikuma.
前回行った第1弾のプロジェクトページでたくさんのご支援をいただきました。誠にありがとうございました。そのことにより参画した宿泊施設が多くの勇気をもらい、動き、この状況でできることを模索し、新しい取り組みに繋がっています。皆さまからの支援が大きく地域の活力につながっています。改めてクラウドファンディングを通しての繋がりの素晴らしさを感じているところです。重ねて感謝いたします。
前回のクラウドファンディングは、4月末で一回終了いたしましたが、多くのメディアにも取り上げられ、また多くの方から関心を寄せていただきました。そのことにより、クラウドファンディングが終了してもなお、応援したいと言ってくださる方も何名も連絡をくださいました。そういった方と少しでもつながって約束づくりをしたいとの想い、さらに海外の方も感心を寄せる方も耳に入り、新しくページを立ち上げる流れとなりました。改めてそういった方々にも感謝いたします。
台風19号から半年以上が過ぎ、自粛期間も延長が重なり、また長野県外の人との気兼ねなく楽しめる時期はもう少し先になる見込みが出ております。温泉は止めることができず、休業していたとしても協力金や助成金でのは賄いきれない経費がかかる宿も多い状況です。少しでも宿の運転資金と気力を支えるために、この第2弾のクラウドファンファンディングを行います。

プロジェクト立ち上げの背景
本プロジェクトは、千曲川と共に生き信州随一の温泉街がある長野県千曲市から始めます。昨年10月の台風19号により千曲川沿岸という立地から敬遠され何週間にも及ぶ多くの宿泊キャンセルが相次ぎました。2020年になり落ち着きやっと客足も戻りはじめた矢先に新型コロナウィルス(COVID-19)の影響があり、ほとんどの宿泊施設が事業継続の瀬戸際に立たされています。3月には6～9割の減、緊急事態宣言を経て宿の営業も難しい状況です。大部分の宿泊施設が銀行や行政機関から融資を受けて何とか事業継続をしていますが、先が見えないことでこの先続けていく意欲も追い込まれてきています。
Project Background
This project is to support inns in Chikuma City located along the Chikuma River, the longest river in Japan. It is home to Togura-Kamiyamada Onsen, one of Nagano’s top onsen resort towns.
Last October, the disastrous Typhoon No.19 hit Nagano and swept away many travel reservations. With the local businesses’ efforts for restoration, travelers had started to return. However, it didn’t last long as COVID-19 has soon hit Japan and tourism has been halted once again. Bookings have decreased by 60%~90% by March and have gotten worse as the National Emergency Declaration was announced. This has pushed those accommodations to an even more dire situation.

大河である千曲川沿いには高低差ある地形から生まれる絶景と豊かな水やお湯という資源があります。宿泊施設のコミュニティを中心に、豊かな景色を利用したユニークな取り組み、源泉掛け流しで疲労回復と美肌効果の強い温泉など、多くの人に「癒しと楽しみ、そして刺激」を提供してきました。この資源を受け継ぎさらに"面白く"していこうとする人の気概がここにはあり、生き延びるために必死に知恵を絞っています。このコミュニティを守るためにも、是非力を貸してください。

Diverse terrain along the long Chikuma River contributes to scenic panorama and plentiful, clean sources of water. In appreciation to such treasures, Chikuma’s onsen ryokans (hot spring inns) have been providing stays where you can indulge in the panoramic views while relaxing in natural hot springs with fatigue relief and skin beauty effect. This is the unique travelling experience that Chikuma has been striving to deliver in the continuous effort of those who are keeping the accommodation businesses running, and now, your kind support would be very much helpful to keep us going.
続けていく気力を支えてほしい！未来の宿泊の"約束"を作りたい！
今回の新型コロナウィルスの影響は長期化の様相を呈しており、旅行や出張、宴会を安心してできる状況になるにはまだまだ耐え忍ぶ期間が続きます。とても現在の状況で「積極的に来て欲しい」という声がけもすることはできない状況です。ただ、宿泊を持っての収入しかない宿泊施設においては、収入がほとんど得られない状況が続きます。それを少しでも補うために、このクラウドファンディングを通して、直近の「運転資金の援助」そして新型コロナウィルスが収束する先に宿泊を通して出会う「約束」を作って、「それぞれの宿が続けていく気力と支えていきたい」と考えています。応援項目を選ぶことで、リターンに設定されている宿にファンディング金額の事務手数料などを除いた90%が直接支援金としてファンディング後即座に届けられます。目標金額は3,000,000円で設定しておりますが、できるだけ支援金が多ければ多いほど事業継続の可能性が高まりますので何卒お願いをいたします。リターンがメールのみの「シンプルな応援プラン」も用意しています。それぞれの宿泊施設に以下の3つのリターンがあります。

＊宿泊期間は2022年3月31日までと一旦させていただきます。ゴールデンウィーク、お盆、年末年始以外での使用を条件とさせていただきますがご了承ください。

We need your support! A “Promise” for future stays!
There is no answer yet when will COVID-19 end, as well as no answer for when travel will be possible again. Despite our strong wish to have more people to come visit Chikuma, we have to be patient for now.
Stay providers are under extreme pressures. Without continuous income, closure of business would be the only option.
To support those accommodations through this time of difficulties, this crowdfunding project is launched for those who would like to visit Chikuma with a “promise” to stay, once the pandemic is over.
By selecting your desired support plan, your contribution (after 10% handling fees are deducted) will go directly to your supported accommodation. While the goal is 3,000,000JPY in contributions, we hope for an amount beyond that for greater possibility to keep those accommodations in service.
If you wish to support but you could not visit us, you could opt for “Basic Support Plan” in which stay is not included. Instead, email or letters written from stay providers will be delivered as an appreciation for your kindness.

Message of Takei-san, CEO of Hotel Uzuraya: Nearby are some of the most popular sites in Chikuma City: Takemizuwake Shrine and moon-reflecting rice fields of Obasute. They are both within walking distance from Hotel Uzuraya.
Takemizuwake Shrine is one of the 3 main shrines in Shinshu (ancient Nagano) built hundreds years ago and still beloved by the locals.
The reflection of full moon in Obasute’s rice field filled with water is so enchanting that the title “Tagoto-no-Tsuki” (literally, ‘the moon reflecting in each paddy’) was commemorated by Matsuo Basho, one of the most famous haiku poets in the Edo period. He and many other haiku poets have written compositions inspired by Obasute.
Apricots, the representative flower of Chikuma, blossomed this spring as they have every year together with sakura cherry blossoms. Though the joy to see and feel them is taken away this year due to the pandemic, we welcome you to enjoy it with us in the coming years. Cozy Japanese ryokan established in 1915. The inn’s name refers to it’s start as a wholesaler of Japanese famous Arita porcelains. 東京方面
JR北陸新幹線(東京駅～上田駅)→しなの鉄道(上田駅～戸倉駅) 約100分＊戸倉駅は、北陸新幹線軽井沢駅からしなの鉄道で約1時間、長野駅から25分でも接続。
関西・名古屋方面
JR中央本線ワイドビューしなの(名古屋～篠ノ井)→しなの鉄道(篠ノ井→戸倉) 約180分＊姨捨駅にはJR篠ノ井駅から15分弱。
千曲市には高速道路の更埴ジャンクションがあり、東京・関西・名古屋から自家用車、直通の高速バスも利用可能です。

想定されるリスクとチャレンジ
このプロジェクトのゴールはプロジェクトに参画する全ての宿泊施設がこの苦境を乗り越えて経営を続けることです。ただし、ないとは願いたいですがフェンデング後リターン元の宿が閉業してしまった場合は、設定されたリターンの履行が難しい場合があります。運営側でできる限りの補填は考える予定でおりますが、同等のリターンが補填できるか不確定の旨、申し訳ございませんがご了承をお願いいたします。
Risks and Challenges
The goal of this project is to help participated accommodations to pererver through this time of difficulties and avoid ceasing business.
In the most unfavored circumstance if your selected accommodation has to cease its business and could not fulfill the plan, an equivalent plan of stay at another participating accommodation shall be compensated. Reservations will be accepted based on availability at the time. Hotels will do their best to accommodate your reservation request. We hope for your kind understanding and thank you for your support.

台風19号からの半年間、長野は先の見えない苦しいトンネルが続いています。これまでも地元の方の自助努力、ボランティアの方を始めとする多くの方の支援、心を寄せてくださる方の応援でここまで持ち堪えてきましたが、新型コロナの影響が長引くたび、続けていく気力すらも奪われています。温泉街も宿の営業を知らせる夜の明かりが消えることも多くなってきました。新型コロナウィルスによって、長野だけではない、そして宿泊施設だけではない多くの方々が苦境にいることは重々承知はしているつもりではありますが、あまりに、あまりに、千曲の宿泊施設の現状を見てこのプロジェクトを立ち上げた次第です。心の灯火までなくならぬよう、ここに参画している宿に泊まったことがある方、気になったことがある方、信州に思入れがある方、この文章を読んで少しでも感じることがある方は支援をよろしくお願いします。

When Typhoon No.19 hit Nagano, locals were striving hard to get back on their feet. People from many other regions offered their assistance for which we were very thankful and we began the recovery process. Unfortunately, COVID-19 soon hit the area again. The hardships in Nagano have continued. Things do not seem to turn well any soon. The future is vague. Locals are becoming exhausted, losing the willpower to keep going on.
Aware of how tough it is for stay providers when ceasing business becomes one of the resolutions, this project is hence launched to gather everyone’s support and bring hope to them.
If you had stayed here before, we hope to refresh your wonderful travel memory and welcome back. If you had not visited here before, we hope that amazing nature and people here will excite you, and look forward to serving your first visit.
