This is the commemorative debut feature film by director Miki Tanaka, whose "Ginger Boy" won third place in the La Cinef category at the 78th Cannes Film Festival and the JAPAN CUTS AWARDS in the Indie Forum category at the 21st Osaka Asian Film Festival, and who welcomes an up-and-coming cast to the challenge.

This is the first time that this film will feature the popular actress Yui Okamoto, whose film "HAPPY END" was a huge hit in Korea, and Hayato Kurihara, who also starred in Tanaka's short film "Blue Amber."Along with director Tanaka, the film brings together a cast of up-and-coming and talented actors who are sure to carry the future of Japanese cinema on their shoulders, including Nakamura Riho, Yamawaki Tatsuya, Takahashi Rio, Nakashima Yuka, Nakai Tomo, Saito Rina, Sakuma Yoshiro, and Otaki Keisuke. "Silver Express" Synopsis

他者に恋愛感情を抱いたことがなく、恋愛経験がない智絵里（岡本ゆい）は、いつもどこか孤独で浮いている。由紀（中村里帆）などの近しい友達との対人関係もうまくいかないばかりか、恋愛映画を見ても登場人物に共感できず、親しい男友達・斉藤（山脇辰哉）からの好意にはうまく応えられない。そんな智絵里はある日、自分と同じように恋愛感情を抱かない男性、翔也（栗原颯人）と出会う。二人は意気投合し、「自分たちは一人じゃなかった」と喜び合う。しかし、限りなく似ている二人には、決定的な違いがあったーーー。

Chieri (Okamoto Yui), who has never had romantic feelings for anyone and has no romantic experience, always feels lonely and out of place. Not only does she struggle with interpersonal relationships with close friends like Yuki (Nakamura Riho), but she also finds it difficult to empathize with the characters in romantic movies, and is unable to respond well to the affections of her close male friend, Saito (Yamawaki Tatsuya).One day, Chieri meets Shoya (Kurihara Hayato), a man who, like her, has no romantic feelings. The two hit it off and rejoice that they are not alone. However, despite their seemingly limitless similarities, there is one crucial difference...

■「他者を想像すること」の難しさと大切さ。
The difficulty and importance of "imagining others."

本作は他者に恋愛感情を抱いたことがない主人公の物語ですが、根本的な焦点は、「自分と他者は違う」という部分です。他者を愛せない人もいるし、同性しか愛せない人もいる。人間自体が恋愛対象ではない人もいる。世の中には、さまざまなセクシュアリティを持った人々が暮らしています。セクシュアリティだけの話ではありません。動物を飼っている人には、その人にしか分からない生活リズムがある。新作映画を公開初日に観ることを優先して生きている人だっている。その人なりの価値観や生き甲斐があり、その人なりに暮らしています。その中で、自分とは違う「他者」の気持ちを想像することは、私たち人間がお互いを尊重し快適に暮らしていくために必要な力なんだと思います。本作は、自分とは異なる環境や価値観を持っている「他者」を想像することの難しさと大切さを描きます。（Text by 田中未来）

This work is about a protagonist who has never felt romantic feelings for another person, but the fundamental focus is that "I am different from others." Some people are unable to love others, and some can only love people of the same sex. There are also people who are not attracted to other people. The world is home to people with a wide variety of sexualities.It's not just about sexuality. People who keep animals have their own rhythms of life that only they can understand. There are also people who prioritize seeing new movies on the first day they're released. Everyone has their own values and reasons for living, and they live their lives in their own way.In this context, I believe that being able to imagine the feelings of "others" who are different from ourselves is a skill we need in order to respect each other and live comfortably. This film is an original project developed by director Miki Tanaka, one of the most talented directors of today, whose short film "Ginger Boy" won third place in the La Cinef category at the 78th Cannes Film Festival, won the JAPAN CUTS Award at the Indie Forum category at the 21st Osaka Asian Film Festival, and whose latest short film "Blue Amber" won the Special Mention at the Housen Short Film Awards. 1993年生まれ、東京出身。 中央大学文学部で近現代文学を学び、小説の執筆を始める。 2019年シナリオセンターで脚本、2020年ニューシネマワークショップで映像の基礎を学ぶ。2024年、ENBUゼミナール監督コース在学中に本作『ジンジャー・ボーイ』を制作。第78回カンヌ国際映画祭ラ・シネフ部門にて第３位に入賞の快挙。続いて第21回大阪アジアン映画祭インディフォーラム部門にて＜焦点監督・田中未来＞という特集が組まれ『ジンジャー・ボーイ』『エミレット』『ブルー・アンバー』の３本が上映され、『ジンジャー・ボーイ』がJAPAN CUTS Award、『ブルー・アンバー』が芳泉短編賞＜スペシャル・メンション＞のW受賞を果たした。

Born in Tokyo in 1993. Studied modern literature at Chuo University's Faculty of Letters and began writing novels. In 2019 he studied screenwriting at the Scenario Center and in 2020 he learned the basics of film at the New Cinema Workshop. In 2024, while studying at the ENBU Seminar Directing Course, he produced the film "Ginger Boy." It achieved the remarkable feat of winning third place in the La Cinef category at the 78th Cannes Film Festival.Next, at the 21st Osaka Asian Film Festival Indie Forum section, a special feature entitled "Focus on Director Tanaka Mirai" was organized, screening three films: "Ginger Boy," "Emirette," and "Blue Amber." "Ginger Boy" won the JAPAN CUTS Award, while "Blue Amber" won the "Special Mention" award at the Hosen Short Film Awards.

◼︎岡本ゆい｜OKAMOTO Yui
＝古畑智絵里・役（play the role of FURUHATA Chieri.）

宮城県仙台市出身。役者として勤勉を励み、モデルとしても活躍。2025年には劇団南極「ゆうがい地球ワンダーツアー」出演/岡本昌也演出脚本キッズノワールシリーズ最終章「七つ数えて」では主演を務める。過去の自分や誰か1人の心を報わせたいというモットーを持ち、日々躍進中。

My name is Okamoto Yui, and I will be playing Furuhat Chieri. I am very grateful and honored that my first starring role in a feature film will be in "Silver Express." I vividly recall when I read the script, it made me reexamine my relationships with people, my desire to connect with others, as well as my ego and prejudice. 1999年12月29日・新潟県生まれ。2024年に映画『HAPPYEND』（空音央監督）で主演に抜擢されスクリーンデビュー。同作で第38回高崎映画祭＜最優秀新人俳優賞＞、第18回アジア・フィルム・アワード＜最優秀新人俳優賞＞を受賞。現在、ドラマ「シナントロープ」（テレビ東京）が放送中。

★COMMENT...木崎翔也を演じさせて頂きます、栗原颯人です。「ブルー・アンバー」に引き続き、田中組の撮影に参加させて頂くことができ、大変嬉しく思っております。今回の「シルバー・エクスプレス」の脚本を読み、自分の価値観やこれまでの生き方について、改めて考える機会となりました。私たちは自分が生きてきた環境や、培ってきた基準を通して他者を理解しようとします。自分にとって当然であることが、他者にとっても当然であるとは限らない。その事を受け止め、尊重し、歩み寄る姿勢が求められていると感じました。本作を通して、皆様にとって多様性の生き方について考えるきっかけとなれば幸いです。

My name is Kurihara Hayato, and I will be playing Kizaki Shoya. Following on from "Blue Amber," I am very happy to be able to participate in the filming of Tanaka's production. Reading the script for "Silver Express" gave me the opportunity to reconsider my own values and the way I have lived my life up until now. We try to understand others through the environment in which we have lived and the standards we have cultivated. What is natural to us may not necessarily be natural to others. I felt that we need to accept this, respect it, and be willing to compromise. I hope that this work will give everyone an opportunity to think about diverse ways of living.

◼︎中村里帆｜NAKAMURA Riho
＝三浦由紀・役（play the role of MIURA Yuki）

1999年8月6日・高知県生まれ。2013年に雑誌nicolaの専属モデルとなり、芸能活動をスタート。女優としては、Netflixドラマ「君に届け」連続テレビ小説「らんまん」や舞台「フラガール-dance for smile-」など、多数の作品に出演。

★COMMENT...脚本を初めて読んだ時、心の奥にしまい込んでいた痛みをそっと撫でられるような感覚がありました。経験のない作風や役に挑む緊張はありますが、田中監督とコミュニケーションを重ね、演じる由紀という人間の輪郭が少しずつ見えてきました。現場でもどんな景色が見られるのかと、気持ちがふくらんでいます。少しでも多くの方にこの作品が届く事を願っています。

When I read the script for the first time, I felt as if the pain that I had buried deep in my heart was being gently stroked.I was nervous about taking on a style and role that I had no experience with, but through repeated communication with Director Tanaka, the outline of the character Yuki that I will be playing gradually came into view. I am excited to see what kind of scenes we will see on set.I hope that this work reaches as many people as possible.

◼︎山𦚰辰哉｜YAMAWAKI Tatsuya
＝斉藤和馬・役（play the role of SAITO Kazuma）

1997年4月9日・千葉県生まれ。舞台、映画、テレビ、CMなどで活躍中。近年の主な出演作にテレビでは連続テレビ小説「らんまん」、夜ドラ「ひらやすみ」(NHK)、映画『結局珈琲』『雪風』『BAUS映画から船出した映画館』『サーチライト-遊星散歩-』企画・脚本も務めた『明けまして、おめでたい人』などがある。

★COMMENT...たしとあなたの間に広がる「普通」がピッタリ重なることはきっとなくて、だけどこの世は「普通」で溢れかえっていて、今もきっとどこかでふつうに「普通」と言われているんだと思います。

普通って何なのでしょうか。

そんなことを思いながら脚本を読む日々です。撮影はきっとその答えを探す日々になるんだと思います。見つかるかは分かりませんが、凄く楽しみです。

I'm sure the "normal" between you and me will never be an exact overlap, but the world is overflowing with "normal," and I'm sure somewhere right now, people are just saying "normal" out loud.   What is normal?   I think about these things every day as I read the script. I'm sure filming will be a time of searching for the answer. I don't know if I'll find it, but I'm really looking forward to it.

◼︎高橋璃央｜TAKAHASHI Rio
＝石井圭太・役（play the role of ISHII Kota）

2000年10月11日・新潟県生まれ。2021年、第36回メンズノンノモデルオーディションで準グランプリを受賞。主な出演作品に映画『純愛上等！』『代々木ジョニーの憂鬱な放課後』、ドラマ「パーフェクトプロポーズ」、舞台「薄羽集魚灯」では初の主演を務め、俳優のみならず、ファッション誌やCMなどモデルとしても活躍中。

＝田辺すみれ・役（play the role of TANABE Sumire）

愛知県生まれ。モデルとして活動をはじめ、映画『名もなき一篇・東京モラトリアム』で俳優デビューし、以降は映画『なのに、千輝くんが甘すぎる。』、『イマジナリーライン』、ドラマ『あなたがしてくれなくても』、『ザ・ロイヤルファミリー』など出演作が続いている。

★COMMENT...登場人物それぞれ孤独を抱えていて、何かしらで埋め合わせようとする中、自分の生き方を貫く智絵里にすみれは魅了されていきます。そんな2人のシーンを初めて読んだ時、「この役を絶対にやりたい」とオーディションを受けた記憶があります。撮影はこれからですが、俳優部の皆さんとのお芝居を存分に楽しみたいと思っています。

Each character is lonely and tries to fill the void in some way, but Sumire is fascinated by Chieri, who lives her own life. When I first read the scene between the two of them, I remember thinking, "I definitely want to play this role," and auditioning for it. Filming has yet to begin, but I'm looking forward to enjoying acting with the other actors.

2000年1月6日・大阪府生まれ。ミスiD2019グランプリ。代表作に、『ベイビーわるきゅーれ』シリーズ(23・24)、『サーチライト-遊星散歩-』(23)、テレビ東京「私があなたといる理由～グアムを訪れた3組の男女の1週間～」(25)、ABC「君としたキスはいつまでも」(25)、『恋に至る病』(25)、Prime Video「藤本タツキ 17-26」(25)など。主な待機作に『うるさいこの音の全部』(加藤慶吾監督)、『12月の雨の日』(川上さわ)などがある。

★COMMENT...この世には様々な人が居て、人の数だけ人生や考え方があって。だからこそ他者を思いやることを大切にして生きていたい。ちゃんとそう、思っているはずが、ふとした時結局「自分」と「自分ではない人間」の2種類でしかないんだな、と無意識に冷淡に、他者を遠ざけることを手に取っていたりします。人と関わることの途方もなさを身に染みて感じながら、この作品に参加できればと思います。

There are many different kinds of people in this world, and there are as many different lives and ways of thinking as there are people. That's why we want to live our lives cherishing consideration for others. We think we do, but at times we realize that in the end there are only two types of people: "me" and "people who are not me," and we unconsciously become cold-hearted and distance ourselves from others. I hope to be able to participate in this work while deeply experiencing the enormity of interacting with people.

＝梨子・役（play the role of RIKO）

2001年・埼玉県生まれ　2019年にFRESH CAMPUS CONTESTで準グランプリ受賞を機にデビュー。ミスマガジン2022にて"ミス週刊少年マガジン"を受賞。『さよならエリュマントス』（大野大輔監督）『ブルー・アンバー』(田中未来監督)などに出演。

★COMMENT...脚本を読んで、現代に合った内容だなと感じました。多様性という言葉が独り歩きしているような世の中で、この作品を作ることの意義を感じました。また個性的な素敵な俳優部の皆さんとご一緒できること、とても楽しみです。梨子役としてきちんと向き合って、お芝居したいと思います。

When I read the script, I felt that the content was relevant to the modern era. In a world where the word "diversity" seems to have taken on a life of its own, I felt the significance of making this work. I am also very much looking forward to working with the wonderful and unique actors. I will do my best to face the role of Riko and act accordingly.

1998年1月8日・東京都生まれ。 主な出演作に映画『衝動』『ミューズは溺れない』『遠いところ』、配信ドラマBUMP「今日も浮つく、あなたは燃える」など。短編映画『噓もまことも』 『ブルー・アンバー』『ロングホットサマーバケーション』ほか公開待機作多数。
