2026年8月19,20日にベトナム・ホーチミンで行われたFIBA（国際バスケットボール連盟）公認3x3大会「GDBL Future Games」をまずは大阪で展開するためのご支援をお願いしたく、プロジェクトを企画しました。

私たちGDBLは、株式会社GLOCAL DOOR BUSINESSが運営する、子どもたちに新しいバスケットボールの機会を届けるプロジェクトです。今回挑戦するのは、3x3バスケットボール大会「GDBL Future Games」の大阪大会の実現です。

We are GDBL, a project operated by GLOCAL DOOR BUSINESS Co., Ltd. dedicated to bringing children new opportunities in basketball. This time, we are taking on the challenge of realizing the 3x3 basketball tournament "GDBL Future Games," to be held in Osaka.

◼️3x3とは

3x3は、バスケットボールのハーフコートを使い、3人対3人で戦う競技です。
試合時間は10分一本、または先に21点を取ったチームの勝ち。
攻撃時間はわずか12秒しかなく、攻守がめまぐるしく入れ替わります。
シュートは通常1点、外側のアークからは2点。ゴール1つ、6人いれば始められる手軽さがありながら、東京2020大会からオリンピック正式種目に採用された、世界が注目する競技です。
ルールはシンプルで、初めて観る方でも、最初の1分でその迫力に引き込まれるはずです。
また、FIBA(国際バスケットボール連盟)の公認大会のため、世界ランクにつながるポイントを獲得できるチャンスでもあります。 普段バスケットボールに打ち込む子どもたちに、「世界と同じ舞台に立つ」というもう一つの機会を届けたい。 自分たちで考えて自分たちで決める自立の経験を、大阪の地から届けたい。それが私たちの願いであり、GDBLを立ち上げた理由です。

◼️私たちについて

私たちは、子どもたちにスポーツを通じた新しい機会を届ける活動を行っています。今回挑戦する「GDBL Future Games 2026 Sakai」は、FIBA公認の3x3バスケットボール大会。監督の指示が禁止されたハーフコート3対3の競技で、子どもたち自身が考え、決める「自立性」を育む点に、私たちはこだわっています。

また、台湾・マカオ・日本の選手が共に汗を流す合同合宿を実施するなど、国境を越えてバスケットボールでつながる機会も作ってきました。控えに回りがちな子にも主役になれる瞬間を届けたい。その想いの積み重ねが、今回の挑戦を後押ししています。

ほかにも、GDBL Future Gamesは国内での展開を計画しています。同時に、ベトナムでの交流実績を土台に、台湾などアジア諸外国への展開も見据えています。国や言葉が違っても、同じルール、同じコートに立てる「世界基準」を、一人でも多くの子どもに届けることが私たちの目標です。

GDBL Future Games 2026 Sakaiは、その大きなビジョンへ向けた最初の一歩です。

We work to bring children new opportunities through sports. Our current challenge, "GDBL Future Games 2026 Sakai," is a FIBA-sanctioned 3x3 basketball tournament. Played half-court, 3-on-3, with coaching instructions strictly prohibited, it's a format where kids think and decide for themselves — and that focus on building independence is something we deeply value.

We've also brought together players from Taiwan, Macau, and Japan for joint training camps, creating opportunities for kids to connect through basketball across borders. We want to give every kid — even the ones who usually sit on the bench — a moment to shine. That belief, built up over time, is what drives this challenge forward.

Beyond this, Future Games is planning further expansion within Japan. At the same time, building on our exchange track record in Vietnam, we're also looking toward expansion across Asia, including Taiwan. Our goal is to give as many kids as possible access to a "world standard" experience — stepping onto the same court, under the same rules, regardless of country or language.

Future Games Osaka is the first step toward that larger vision.

GDBLは、「機会を、未来に変える。」を旗印に、バスケットボールを通じて、子どもが自分の手で機会を掴める人間に育つことを目指し、日本・ベトナム・台湾で、バスケットボールの育成アカデミーやキャンプを開き、国際大会「GDBL Future Games」を主催しています。

「GDBL Future Games」は、国際バスケットボール連盟（FIBA）の承認を受けた3x3（3人制バスケットボール）の大会です。参加した選手にはFIBAの国際ランキング上に個人のプロフィールが作られ、その記録は誰でも play.fiba3x3.com で確認することができます。小中学生が、自分の記録を、世界と同じ場所に持てる。 私たちがこの形にこだわっている理由は、そこにあります。本プロジェクト「GDBL Future Games 2026 Sakai」は、この舞台を、日本の子どもが遠征しなくても自分の街から、世界に挑めるものとして届ける取り組みです。

これまで私は、「日本と世界を繋ぐ」ことをコンセプトに事業を営み、国際スポーツブランド「361°」の日本市場導入や、プロバスケットボールクラブの経営など、スポーツをビジネスの側から見てきました。
地方でプロチームを支えることの厳しさも、プロスポーツというコンテンツが言語を越えて世界に通用することも、その現場で知りました。この子たちに、もっと自信を持ってほしい。 そして、それには“環境”がいかに大切かを痛感しました。

クラブの経営を退いたあと、私はプロスポーツの海外展開を支援する仕事を続けながら、息子が入ったミニバスケットボールチームで、ボランティアのコーチを始めました。
大阪では今も、子どもたちと同じ体育館のコートに立っています。真剣なまなざしで一生懸命ボールを追う子どもたちの姿に、私のほうが「もっと頑張らなくては」と教えられました。
私自身はバスケットボールの素人です。だから、技術を教えるのは私の役割ではありません。
それは、経験豊富なコーチたちの仕事です。私の役割は、別のところにあります。海外のコーチングや子どもの心理などの学びを重ね、技術だけでなく、安全と人間的成長を最優先する育成の土台をつくること。それを、自分の役割として位置づけています。そして技術を専門のコーチに委ねるほどに、私自身は、バスケットボールにとどまらず、子どもたちにできるだけ多くの経験を届けたいという思いを強くしていきました。

正直に言えば、私自身、大きな挫折を経験しました。積み上げたものを失い、信じた相手に裏切られ、50歳を過ぎて、もう一度ゼロから立ち上がろうとしています。一度つまずくと、立ち直るのは、本当に大変です。それでも前を向けているのは、ありがたいことに、日本・ベトナム・台湾に、私を支えてくれる仲間がいてくれるから。そして、子どもたちが「自分の手で掴みにいく」その姿に、私のほうが励まされているからです。

だからこそ私は、自分の生き方を選び直しました。スポーツビジネスはとても華やかで、刺激的な世界です。多くの人に、夢や希望や勇気を届けます。私も長くその世界に身を置いてきました。ですが私はいま、大勢に届ける立場ではなく、目の前の子どもたちと伴走することを選び、活動しています。 そして、これまでスポーツを通じて続けてきた「日本と世界を繋ぐ」という仕事を、今度はそのまま、子どもたちのために使いたいと思うようになりました。日本の子どもと世界の子どもをバスケットボールで繋ぎ、たくさんの経験ができる機会をつくる。遠征しなくても、自分の街から世界に挑める。
GDBL Future Games は、その舞台です。

子どもたちの中には、将来はプロバスケットボール選手に、と夢を語る子が何人もいます。プロになれるのは、ほんの一握りかもしれません。それでも、本気で何かに挑むこと自体に、かけがえのない意味があると、私は信じています。そして私は、子どもたちに、日本だけでなく、世界はこんなに広く、たくさんの機会や可能性にあふれているということを、知ってほしいと思っています。今回の「GDBL Future Games 2026 Sakai」は、日本で開く国内の大会です。それでも、子どもたちの記録は世界とひとつながりになっています。まずは自分の街で挑み、その先に、世界が待っています。いつか、世界の子どもたちと同じコートに立ち、競い合い、讃え合う。その道のりそのものが、子どもたちの「自分にもできるかもしれない」という一歩を、確かなものにしていきます。だからこの大会は、勝ち負けを決めるためだけのものではありません。日常の努力を表現し、いまの自分を知り、次の扉を自分の手で開く場所なのです。

Under the banner "Turning Opportunity into the Future," GDBL exists to help children grow into people who can reach out and seize their own opportunities — through basketball. We run basketball development academies and camps in Japan, Vietnam, and Taiwan, and host the international tournament "GDBL Future Games."

"GDBL Future Games" is a 3x3 (three-on-three basketball) tournament sanctioned by FIBA, the International Basketball Federation. Every participating player receives an individual profile on FIBA's international ranking system, with records anyone can check at play.fiba3x3.com. Elementary and middle school kids can hold a record in the same place as the rest of the world — that's the reason we're so committed to this format. This project, "GDBL Future Games 2026 Sakai," is our effort to bring that stage to Japanese children without requiring them to travel abroad — letting them take on the world from their own hometown.

I've spent my career building businesses around the idea of "connecting Japan with the world" — bringing the international sports brand "361°" into the Japanese market, running a professional basketball club — always looking at sports from the business side. Out on the ground, I learned firsthand both how hard it is to sustain a professional team in the regions, and how professional sports content can transcend language and reach the world. I wanted these kids to believe in themselves more. And I came to understand, deeply, just how much the environment around them matters.

After stepping down from managing the club, I kept working in support of professional sports' overseas expansion, and around that time I started volunteering as a coach for the mini-basketball team my son had joined. To this day, in Osaka, I still stand on the same gym court as those kids. Watching them chase the ball with such serious, determined eyes, it's often me who ends up thinking, "I need to try harder."

I'm an amateur when it comes to basketball myself. So teaching skills isn't my role — that's the job of our experienced coaches. My role lies elsewhere. Drawing on what I've learned about coaching methods abroad and children's psychology, my job is to build a foundation for development that puts safety and personal growth first, not just technique. That's how I see my part in this. And the more I entrusted the technical side to professional coaches, the stronger my desire grew to give these kids as many experiences as possible — not just in basketball, but beyond it.

I'll be honest: I've been through a major setback myself. I lost what I had built, was betrayed by someone I trusted, and past the age of 50, I'm trying to stand up again from zero. Once you stumble, getting back up is genuinely hard. Still, I've been able to keep facing forward — thanks to the colleagues who support me in Japan, Vietnam, and Taiwan, and because, honestly, it's the kids reaching out to seize things for themselves who end up encouraging me.

That's why I chose to redefine how I want to live. Sports business is a glamorous, exciting world. It delivers dreams, hope, and courage to a great many people, and I spent many years in that world myself. But right now, rather than standing in a position to reach the many, I've chosen to walk alongside the children right in front of me. And the work I've done throughout my career — connecting Japan with the world through sports — I now want to put entirely toward these kids. Connecting children in Japan with children around the world through basketball, and creating opportunities for them to have countless experiences. Taking on the world from their own hometown, with no need to travel abroad. GDBL Future Games is that stage.

Some of these kids already talk about their dream of becoming professional basketball players someday. Maybe only a rare few will get there. Even so, I believe there's irreplaceable meaning in genuinely committing to a challenge. And I want these kids to know that the world is far bigger than Japan alone — full of opportunities and possibilities. "GDBL Future Games 2026 Sakai" is a domestic tournament held here in Japan. And yet, these kids' records are already connected to the world. First, they take on their own city — and beyond that, the world is waiting. Someday, standing on the same court as children from around the globe, competing and celebrating together — that journey itself is what turns a child's feeling of "maybe I can do this too" into something real. So this tournament isn't only about deciding who wins and who loses. It's a place to express the effort of everyday practice, to see where you stand right now, and to open the next door with your own hands.

◼️資金の使い道

今回募集させていただく資金は、GDBL Future Games 2026 Sakai開催に必要な会場費・運営費に充てさせていただきます。

コートの設営、審判・テーブルオフィシャルの手配、当日運営にかかる備品やスタッフ体制づくりなど、子どもたちが安心して全力でプレーできる環境を、大阪の地にきちんとした形で用意するための費用です。

目標金額が集まれば、参加する子どもたちはFIBAの選手プロフィールを持ち、世界共通のデータベースに記録が残る大会でプレーできます。「自分たちで考えて、自分たちで試合を進められた」「世界に登録された」という実感が、ミニバスに取り組む一人ひとりの子どもにとって、次の一歩を踏み出すきっかけになります。

大阪から始まるこの挑戦をまず形にすること。それが、この先この機会をより多くの子どもたちに広げていくための、確かな第一歩になります。

■ How the Funds Will Be Used

The funds raised through this campaign will go toward the venue and operational costs required to hold the Osaka tournament of Future Games 2026 Sakai.

This includes setting up the courts, arranging referees and table officials, and preparing the equipment and staffing needed for on-the-day operations — all to properly establish, here in Osaka, an environment where children can play with full confidence and full effort.

If we reach our funding goal, the children participating will hold FIBA player profiles and be able to compete in a tournament whose records are entered into a globally shared database. The sense of accomplishment that comes from "we thought for ourselves and ran the match ourselves" and "we're registered with the world" will, for each and every child devoted to mini-basketball, become a spark for their next step forward.

Making this challenge, which starts in Osaka, a reality first — that is a solid first step toward expanding this opportunity to even more children in the future.

◼️想定されるリスクとチャレンジ

3x3は、日本ではまだ広く知られている競技ではありません。そのため、告知期間や認知度によっては、目標としている参加チーム数に届かない可能性があります。

万が一、参加チーム数が想定を下回った場合も、大会自体は規模を調整したうえで開催いたします。
子どもたちに「世界と同じ舞台でプレーする機会」を届けるという大会の核となる価値は変えずに運営してまいります。

目標金額に届かなかった場合でも、不足する費用は自己資金等で補填し、いただいたご支援は大会の実現、およびリターンのご提供に責任を持って活用させていただきます。

■ Anticipated Risks and Challenges

3x3 is not yet a widely known sport in Japan. As a result, depending on the promotional period and level of awareness, we may not reach our target number of participating teams.

Even if the number of participating teams falls short of expectations, the tournament itself will still be held, with its scale adjusted accordingly. We will continue to operate the tournament without compromising its core value: giving children the opportunity to play on the same stage as the rest of the world.

Even if we do not reach our funding goal, we will cover any shortfall using our own funds, and we will responsibly use the support we receive toward realizing the tournament and providing the returns.
