石巻のスケートパーク「Onepark」にアートスペース「OUT-END-PEOPLE」をオープンしたい。

宮城県石巻市、津波被害の跡を残す冷凍倉庫に作られた、日本最大級の室内スケートパーク「Onepark」。この場所を東北の更なる文化発展の拠点に発展させていくことにご協力ください！

東日本大震災からうまれた「Onepark」

こんにちは、石巻のスケートボーダーの勝又秀樹です！僕は2013年から宮城県石巻市で「 木の屋石巻水産」さんの津波被災した冷凍倉庫をお借りしして、日本最大の室内スケートパーク「Onepark / ワンパーク」を運営しています。Oneparkは僕と数人の石巻の仲間達で泥かきからスタートして、セクション（トリックをする為の障害物）を自主制作したり、１年以上の時間をかけてオープンしました。今では子供達のスケートボードの練習場として、あとスケートボードの大会の会場としても、東北のストリートカルチャーの１つのベースになってきています。

Onepark, born from the great earthquake of 2011-

Hello, I’m Hideki Katsumata, a skateboarder from Ishinomaki! Starting in 2013, I rented a refrigeration warehouse destroyed by the tsunami from Kinoya Fisheries, and created Onepark, the largest indoor skatepark in Japan. To open Onepark, A few other Ishinomaki locals and I spent more than one year independently building sections(obstacles for skateboarding) from the ground up. Today, Onepark serves as a practice ground for young skateboarders, a stadium for skating tournaments, and a hub of street culture in Northeastern Japan.

「Onepark」をストリートカルチャーの発信地に

今回ファンディングに参加することになったのは、Oneparkにアートスペース 「OUT-END-PEOPLE」をオープンし、アーティストを呼んでOneparkで制作をしてもらったり、アーティストの作品やZINE等を置いたり、またカフェとして使える空間を作りたいと思ったからです。

このような場所を作りたいと思った理由について、まず第１にOneparkを利用する子供達やその保護者達に、スケートボードをストリートカルチャーとして広い意味で伝えたいとの想いと、そして第２に、アーティストやスケートボードに馴染みのない人々にも「OUT-END-PEOPLE」を通じてOneparkに来て、スケートボードについて少しでも知ってもらいたいと思ったからです。

Onepark, a beacon of street culture-

Now, we are seeking funding to open OUT-END-PEOPLE, an art space in Onepark, which we intend as a workspace for artists, a zine shop and gallery, as well as a cafe and rental space.

Our reasons for creating this space are To demonstrate the deep significance and meaning of street culture to the kids that come to Onepark, as well as their parents.

and To allow for people that are unfamiliar with skateboarding or art to come to OUT-END-PEOPLE, see what’s going on at Onepark, and have a chance to gain some understanding.

今がそのとき！

これからが様々な意味で頑張りどころだと思っています。スケートボードがオリンピックの競技になったり、行政が僕らの活動を応援してくれたり、色々波にのってきたところがあるので、Oneparkも会社化やNPO化してきたいと思っています。 木の屋石巻水産さんの継続的なサポートにも本当に感謝します。

そして今年は石巻ではapbankが主催する震災復興支援の芸術祭 「Reborn-Art Festival」（※１）が開催されますが、Oneparkでは「SIDE CORE」（※２）の展示が決定しました。OUT-END-PEOPLEを設立するこれ以上に無いチャンスと考えています。またSIDECOREからはなんと、日本を代表するスケートボーダーの森田貴宏さん、北九州を中心にアーティストとして活躍しているBABUさんもアーティストとして参加してくれることになっているので、本当に楽しみです。こうやって、アーティスト、スケーター、工場の人々など様々な人が集うOneparkの新しいスペース「OUT-END-PEOPLE」の設立にぜひご参加ください！！！

Now is the time!

There has been a wave of interest in our activities, and for various reasons, this is the moment to steam ahead. Skateboarding has become an official olympic game, and the city government of Ishinomaki has offered us aid. Onepark is incorporating and forming an NPO. Also, we are truly grateful for the continued support of our parent company, Kinoya Fisheries.

Furthermore, this year in Ishinomaki, APbank is holding Reborn-Art Festival(※1), around the concept of earthquake reconstruction and Onepark is hosting an exhibition by the art group SIDECORE(※2),  SIDECORE is truly excited to be working with Takahiro Murata, a legendary Japanese skateboarder cum artist, as well as BABU, an artist well established in Kita Kyushu.

想定されるリスクとチャレンジ

もし皆さんがファウンディングに参加してくだされば、主にこのOUT-END-PEOPLEの内装空間制作、そして展覧会の開催への予算に使わせていただきたいと考えています。それはOneparkを通じて東北のストリートカルチャーを盛り上げていくこと、この活動全体へのサポートに繋がっていきます。基本的にOneparkは１人で運営しているので、色々工事が遅れたり予想外のトラブルには見舞われる可能性もありますし、万が一迷惑をおかけしてしまうこともあるかもしれませんが、、そこのところはどうぞ寛大な心でご理解ください。

Risks and challenges-

If we meet our funding goal, it will be used to construct and design the interior of OUT-END-PEOPLE, and as a budget for further exhibitions. These activities are all linked to the cultivation of
northeastern Japanese street culture at Onepark. Fundamentally, Onepark is administered by one person, so there is some chance of delays in construction and unforeseen difficulties. Should this occur, please understand and bear with us.
