天野月 活動25周年記念
リテイクベストアルバム『25』制作支援プロジェクト

シンガーソングライター天野月の活動25周年記念、ファンと自身がセレクトした25曲入りリテイクベストアルバム『25』を、これまで活動を共にしてきたミュージシャンたちと、ファンの皆様とで共に作り上げたい！

＊はじめに

みなさまこんにちは、天野月です。

2001年4月1日「箱庭」でデビューし、2001年11月に「菩提樹」でメジャーデビュー、
2008年に一度活動を中断し、天野月子から天野月へ活動名を変え、紆余曲折ありながらも精力的に活動を続け、今年で活動25周年を迎えました。

5年前となる20周年の時にも、クラウドファンディングを利用してミニアルバム『二十歳』の制作をさせて頂きました。元所属事務所の社長の急逝とコロナ禍とが重なり、独立をせざるを得なかったわたしに対し支援してくださったみなさま、夢のような20周年記念盤制作の思い出を、本当にありがとうございました。みなさまのご支援で制作させて頂いた「音叉」のMV、感謝を込めて冒頭に添付させて頂きます。

25周年を迎える今年は、
ファンのみなさまが選んだ上位約20曲目と、
天野月自身が選ぶ約4曲＋1曲入りの、
25曲入りリテイクベストアルバム『25』の制作を、
再びクラウドファンディングにて制作させていただきたいと思っています。

まずは、なぜ通常のベストアルバムではなくリテイクベストアルバムなのかについて、
お伝えさせてください。

読んでいただけると嬉しいです。

＊なぜリテイクなのか

今から6年前、20周年目前であった2020年に、元所属事務所の社長兼プロデューサーの戸倉氏が急逝し、水面下で動いていた企画の多くは消失しました。
その消失してしまった企画のひとつが、天野の2001年からの活動キャリアすべてを通してのベストアルバムの制作でした。

わたしの楽曲は大きく分けて、

①元所属レコード会社・元所属レーベル（PONYCANYON・U's MUSIC／2001〜2006年および2018〜2020年）

②元所属事務所（音倉／2007年〜2016年）

③天野月 個人事務所（Head Amp Lab.／2021年〜）

が原盤権という権利をそれぞれ保有しています。

原盤権は「制作資金を出した人や会社が保有している、レコーディングした音源そのものにまつわる権利」を指します。
原盤権を保有していない人や会社は、許可なくしてレコーディング済みの音源を勝手に発売出来ないよう法律で定められており、リリース後70年間、リリースしなかった音源の場合は制作後50年間、法の元に保護されます。

制作費を出してくれる人や会社がいなければ、その作品は作られていないわけですから、
原盤権は、著作権などとは比べ物にならないほど強い権利です。

また原盤権は、保有者の生前であれば書類一つで他者に譲渡出来るものなのですが、
死後は誰にも譲渡する事が出来ません。

この法律は本来、制作物を他者から守るためにあり、なくてはならない大事なものなのですが、

この法律のために、
2007年から2016年の間の、戸倉氏が保有している天野楽曲の原盤権を、誰も引き継ぐ事が出来ず、
その期間に制作・リリースされた楽曲を原曲のまま再販したり、新しい作品に原曲のまま収録して発売する事が出来なくなりました。

活動20周年の時、上記理由でベストアルバムを作る事を諦めました。
レコード会社の人にも、どうにか天野月が原盤権を引き継げないものかと相談され、いろいろな方法を探ってみたのですが、残念ながら無理である事が判明した次第です。

そこでわたしは考えました。

リテイクしていけばいいのではないか、と。

もう一度新たにリテイクすれば、リテイクされた楽曲の原盤権は天野月のものに置き換わります。 
そうすれば、ベストアルバムの制作も可能になる。

とは言え、すべての楽曲を全部リテイクしていくのは、資金の面で到底無理な話なのです。  

また、元楽曲のアレンジを大きく変更したいという気持ちはなく、
できることなら原曲をそのまま収録したいがそれが叶わないからリテイクを選ぶため、なるべく原曲を壊さないようにしたいのですが、

リテイクベストアルバムをひとつの作品として考えた時に、
2007年以前と以降で、歌声の質感ががらっと変わってしまうのはどうかと思いましたので、以下のようにリテイク内容を分ける事と致しました。

（１）上記①となる2001年〜2006年、および2018年〜2020年にリリースされた作品

原盤保有者に原盤使用料を支払い、
原則として、ボーカルリテイク＋新たにミックスをし直して収録

※一部のキーを変更したい楽曲の場合は、ほぼリテイクする事となる

（２）上記②となる2007年〜2016年にリリースされた作品

楽器とボーカルのリテイク＋新たにミックスをし直して収録
原則として、原曲を演奏したミュージシャンがリテイクする

※近年お仕事をご一緒していないミュージシャンが演奏された楽曲の場合は、天野が演奏家を指定してリテイクを行う

（３）天野月（Head Amp Lab.）が原盤を保有している2021年以降の作品

原曲をそのまま収録する

リターンの一部となっているチケット先行予約について、万が一開催が出来ないと判断せざるを得ない状況に陥った場合は、未来のライブチケット先行予約分として繰越させて頂きます。
また、上記してありますが、25周年記念冊子の完成が、10月中旬予定としているアルバム送付までに間に合わなかった場合は、2027年3月下旬までの間に別途送付いたします。

このアルバム制作は、All or Nothing方式でのクラウドファンディングとなります。
目標金額に届かなかった場合は、多くの方が楽しんでくださる企画ではないと判断し、制作を断念いたします。リターンの履行も実行されず、支援者の方々にご返金となります。

＊Introduction

Hello everyone, this is Amano Tsuki.

Since my debut with “Hakoniwa” on April 1, 2001, this year marks my 25th anniversary in the industry.

For my 20th anniversary, I also utilized crowdfunding to produce the mini-album “Twenty.” To everyone who supported me, thank you so much for the dreamlike memories of creating that commemorative album.

This year, as we reach our 25th anniversary,
I would like to once again use crowdfunding to produce a 25-track retake best album titled “25”.
This album will feature approximately 20 songs selected by fans,
plus approximately 4 songs chosen by Amano Tsuki herself, plus one additional track.

First, I would like to explain why this is a retake best album rather than a standard best album.

I would be delighted if you would read on.

＊Why a Retake Album?

Six years ago, in 2020, just before our 20th anniversary, the president of my former agency passed away suddenly. Many projects in development at the time vanished.
One of those lost projects was a best-of album spanning Amano's entire career since 2001.

My music rights are broadly held by:

① My former record label and the parent company of my former agency (PONYCANYON・U's MUSIC / 2001-2006 and 2018-2020)

② My former agency (Otokura / 2007-2016)

③ Amano Tsuki's personal office (Head Amp Lab. / 2021–present)

Each of these entities holds the master rights.

Master rights refer to “the rights pertaining to the recorded sound itself, held by the person or company that provided the production funds.”
It is legally stipulated that individuals or companies not holding master rights cannot release recorded sound sources without permission. These rights are protected by law for 70 years after release, or 50 years after production for unreleased sound sources.

Since a work wouldn't exist without someone or a company providing the production funds,
master rights are an immensely powerful right, incomparable to copyrights.

Furthermore, while master rights can be transferred to another party with a single document during the owner's lifetime,
they cannot be transferred to anyone after death.

This law exists fundamentally to protect creative works from others and is an indispensable, vital one.

However, due to this law,
from 2007 to 2016, no one could inherit the master rights to Amano's music held by Mr. Togura.
This meant that during that period, it became impossible to re-release songs produced and released as they originally were, or to include them unchanged in new works for release.

For this reason, we gave up on creating a best-of album for the 20th anniversary.
We consulted with the record company about whether there was any way Amano Tsuki could inherit the master rights, exploring various methods, but unfortunately, it became clear this was impossible.

So I thought:

What if we just re-record them?

If we re-record them anew, the master rights for the re-recorded songs would be transferred to Amano Tsuki.

That would make producing a best-of album possible.

That said, re-recording every single track is financially impossible.

Additionally, I have no desire to drastically alter the original arrangements.
Ideally, I would have included the original tracks as-is, but since that wasn't possible, I chose to re-record them. Therefore, I aim to preserve the original songs as much as possible.

However, when considering the re-recorded best album as a single work,
I felt it would be problematic if the vocal texture changed drastically between the pre-2007 and post-2007 tracks. For this reason, I have decided to categorize the re-recorded content as follows:

(1) Works released from 2001 to 2006 and from 2018 to 2020 (as per point ① above)
Pay master recording royalties to the master rights holder.
In principle, record with a vocal retake + newly remixed track.

※ For songs where key changes are desired, a retake will be performed in most cases.

(2) Works released from 2007 to 2016 (as per point ② above)
Re-recorded with re-takes of instruments and vocals + newly remixed and recorded.
In principle, the musicians who performed the original track will re-record.

※For tracks originally performed by musicians Amano no longer associates with, Amano will specify the performers for the re-takes.

(3) Works from 2021 onwards where Amano Tsuki (Head Amp Lab.) holds the master recordings
Recorded as the original tracks.

Additionally, as mentioned above, if the completion of the 25th Anniversary Commemorative Booklet cannot be achieved by the mid-October album shipping date, it will be shipped separately by late March 2027.

This album production is an All or Nothing crowdfunding campaign.
If the target amount is not reached, we will conclude that this is not a project that will be enjoyed by many and will abandon production.The fulfillment of rewards has not been carried out, and refunds will be issued to our supporters.
