こんにちは。

Glass Studio TooSは、岡山県美作市・湯郷温泉街にある吹きガラス工房です。

2002年の創業以来、岡山県美作市の小さな工房で吹きガラスと向き合い続けてきました。

私たちは吹きガラスの技法を用いて、一点一点手作業でガラスペンを制作しています。

ガラスペンは、ガラスの美しさと筆記具としての実用性を兼ね備えた道具です。

現在は日本国内だけでなく、海外の店舗やイベントでも作品をご紹介しており、多くの方々に愛用いただいています。

Hello,

Glass Studio TooS is a hand-blown glass studio located in the Yunogo Onsen area of Mimasaka City, Okayama, Japan.

Since our founding in 2002, we have continued working with molten glass in our small studio in Mimasaka, Okayama.

Using traditional hot glass techniques, we create each glass pen entirely by hand.

Our glass pens combine the beauty of glass art with the practicality of a writing instrument.

Today, our works are enjoyed not only in Japan but also by customers around the world through international events, retailers, and collectors.

ガラスペンとは/What Is a Glass Pen?

ガラスペンはガラスで作られた筆記具です。

ペン先に刻まれた溝にインクを保持し、一度インクを付けるだけで数行の筆記が可能です。

インクの色を気軽に変えられるため、万年筆愛好家や文具ファンを中心に世界中で注目を集めています。

A glass pen is a writing instrument made entirely of glass.

The grooves on the nib hold ink, allowing several lines of writing with a single dip.

Because ink colors can be changed easily, glass pens have gained popularity among stationery enthusiasts, artists, and fountain pen users around the world.

プロジェクト始動への決意/Why We Started This Project

私たちはガラスペンを単なる筆記具だとは考えていません。

お気に入りのインクを選び、ガラスペンを手に取り、ゆっくりと文字を書く。

その時間が思い出となり、やがて人生の物語になっていく。

そんな体験を届けたいという想いで、一つひとつ手作業で作品を制作しています。
創業以来24年間、岡山県美作市の小さな工房で吹きガラスと向き合い続けてきました。

そして近年、ガラスペンを通してその想いは日本国内だけでなく海外にも広がり始めています。

私たちはアジアやアメリカの文具イベントやペンショーへ参加し、多くの方々に作品を手に取っていただいてきました。

　　　　

会場では開場前から長い列ができることもあり、SNSやメールを通じて世界中のお客様から温かいメッセージをいただいています。

「どこで購入できますか？」

「オンライン販売はありますか？」

「次はいつ海外へ来ますか？」

そうした声をいただくたびに、日本のガラスペン文化が国や言語を超えて愛されていることを実感しています。

私たちは今、一時的な流行としてではなく、日本のガラスペン文化を世界の筆記具文化の一つとして根付かせていきたいと考えています。

そのためには作品を作り続ける工房を守り、そして世界中のお客様とつながる仕組みを整える必要があります。

このプロジェクトは、Glass Studio TooSが次のステージへ進むための大切な第一歩と考えています。

Why We Started This Project

[WE TURN MOMENTS INTO STORIES]

We do not see a glass pen as merely a writing tool.

Choosing your favorite ink, holding a glass pen, and slowly writing by hand creates meaningful moments.

Those moments become memories, and those memories eventually become stories.

That experience is what we hope to share through every piece we create.

For 24 years, we have continued working with molten glass in our small studio in Mimasaka, Okayama.

In recent years, our work has begun reaching far beyond Japan.

We have participated in stationery events and pen shows across Asia and the United States, where many visitors have had the opportunity to see and experience our work.

At some events, long lines form before opening, and we regularly receive messages from customers around the world asking:

“Where can I buy your work?”

“Do you sell online?”

“When will you visit our country?”

Every message reminds us that Japanese glass pen culture has the power to cross borders and languages.

Our goal is not simply to follow a trend.

We want Japanese glass pens to become a lasting part of the global writing community.

To achieve that goal, we must preserve the workshop where our creations are born while also building a bridge that connects us directly with people around the world.

This project is the first step toward that future.

To continue sharing our work with people around the world, we believe it is essential to improve both the place where our creations are made and the gateway through which we connect with our customers.

① 工房環境の改善/Preserving the Workshop

私たちの工房は築70年以上の建物です。

長い年月を重ねた大切な場所ですが、雨風や冷気の影響を受けやすく、特にガラスペンの仕上げ工程である研磨作業に大きな負担が生じています。

今回のプロジェクトでは、

・内壁の設置

・ガス配管の改修工事

・研磨専用スペースの新設

・事務所兼作業部屋の拡張

を行い、制作環境を改善します。

工房の歴史や雰囲気を守りながら、これから先も安定して高品質な作品を生み出せる環境を整えます。

Our workshop is housed in a building that is more than 70 years old.

While it is a place filled with history and memories, it is also vulnerable to wind, rain, and cold temperatures.

These conditions create challenges, especially during the polishing process, one of the most important finishing stages of making a glass pen.

With this project, we plan to:

• Install interior walls to improve insulation

• Upgrade gas piping and workshop infrastructure

• Create a dedicated polishing workspace

• Expansion of the office and workspace

These improvements will allow us to maintain the character of the workshop while creating a safer and more stable environment for producing high-quality work for years to come.

② 海外向け公式ECサイトの構築/Creating a Global Gateway

海外のお客様から最も多くいただく声が、

「オンラインで購入できませんか？」

というものです。

そこで今回、海外向け公式ECサイトを制作します。

現在、ホームページ制作はすでにスタートしており、株式会社クラビズとともに制作を進めています。

ホームページでは、写真家 木村琢磨 氏が撮影した、Glass Studio TooSのガラスペン制作風景を映した映像を使用します。

今回のクラウドファンディングでは、その完成映像を一足早くトップページでご覧いただけます。

   

なお、この映像はホームページのトップページで常時再生することを前提に制作しているため、音声のない無音仕様となっています。音楽やナレーションではなく、ガラスと向き合う時間や工房の空気感そのものを映像で感じていただける作品です。

新しいホームページでは作品の販売だけでなく、制作工程や工房の想い、Glass Studio TooSというブランドを世界へ届ける発信拠点として育てていきます。

展示会だけでなく、世界中のお客様がいつでもGlass Studio TooSの作品や活動に触れられる場所を作ります。

日本の小さな工房と、世界中の机の上を直接つなぐ新しい窓口です。

One of the most common questions we receive from overseas customers is:

“Can I purchase your work online?”

To answer that request, we are creating an official international website and online store.

The development of our new website is already underway in collaboration with Kurabiz Inc.

The homepage will feature a silent cinematic film of our glass pen making process, photographed by Takuma Kimura.

As a preview, this crowdfunding page will premiere the completed film before it appears on our official website.

Because the film is designed to play continuously on the homepage of our website, it has been created without sound. Rather than relying on narration or music, it allows visitors to experience the atmosphere, craftsmanship, and quiet beauty of our workshop through the visuals alone.

The new website will not only offer our work for sale, but also introduce our creative process, our philosophy, and the story behind Glass Studio TooS.

This website will allow people around the world to discover our work, learn about our process, and follow our activities even when they cannot attend an exhibition in person.

It will become a direct connection between our small workshop in Japan and desks around the world.

資金の使い道/Funding Goal

目標金額

100万円

総事業費は約540万円を予定しています。

内訳は、工房環境改善費約280万円、海外向けECサイト制作費約260万円です。

海外向けECサイト制作事業は、補助金事業として採択されており、補助対象経費200万円に対して100万円の補助金が交付される予定です。

そのため、本クラウドファンディングでは補助金対象経費を募集するのではなく、工房環境改善費およびECサイト制作費の自己負担分に充てさせていただきます。

不足分については自己資金を充当し、目標金額達成の有無に関わらず、本プロジェクトは実施いたします。

Funding Goal

The total project cost is approximately ¥5,400,000.

This consists of approximately ¥2,800,000 for workshop improvements and ¥2,600,000 for the development of our international website.

The website project has already been approved for a government subsidy. Of the ¥2,000,000 in eligible expenses, ¥1,000,000 will be covered by the subsidy.

Therefore, this crowdfunding campaign will not be used to raise funds for the subsidized expenses. Instead, your support will be used for the workshop improvements and the self-funded portion of the website project.

Any remaining costs will be covered with our own funds, and the project will proceed regardless of whether the funding goal is reached.

The Hagoromo Shard of light Series is the pinnacle of collaboration between Glass Studio TooS and kiriko glass artist Kimiko Yasuda.

工房改修工事およびECサイト制作は2026年内の完成を予定しております。
工事や開発状況によってスケジュールが変更となる可能性があります。
また、ガラスペンは全て手作業で制作するため、お届け時期が前後する場合があります。
本プロジェクトはAll-in方式のため、目標金額未達の場合でも不足する資金は自費で補填し、工房改修工事およびECサイト制作を実施いたします。

目標金額に達しなかった場合も、予定しているリターンの制作・発送を行います。

やむを得ない事情によりプロジェクトに変更や遅延等が発生した場合は、メールやアップデート記事にて速やかに進捗をご報告いたします。

The workshop renovation and development of our international e-commerce website are scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.
